What year did dates of birth start be shown on death certificates

By doing a random search for a common name, it would appear that they started to record the DOB 2Q 1969.

Bear in mind that the date given, is only as good as the informants knowledge. Grief, shock or poor memory (even fibbing by the deceased) could make this incorrect.

My grandmother's is one year out - lol

Thanks for all that I struggling with the deaths of three of my fathers uncles and I think that they all must have died before 1969 and were all born in the early 1900's. Thanks for all your help
