here may be a photo of Edgar Cushing on this site .................. keep on scrolling down!!

http://www.rushdenheritage.co.uk/leisure/rushdenmissionband.html

"A Congregational church in Lincoln was visited for three consecutive years; this was due to Rev. Edgar Cushing who was a former Wellingborough Circuit Minister and Vice President of the band and who had moved there. These visits were great occasions for the visited as well as the bandsmen. Welcome teas were extended to the band and were the equivalent to a civic reception as they were usually greeted by a local dignitary. Following this a conducted tour of some historical interest venue or industrial works took place. These tours included the Cathedral and Rushton Engineering Works."

I wondered if anyone could look up a Rev Edgar Cushing, who was born in 1880 in Norwich , He was a methodist minister, he was a part of the Wesleyan Reform union, around 1927, he preached up until he did in 1957. i wondered how you would go about checking this

Thanks

so that poster thought he died in 1957.

One person who replied seemed to have information re living relativs, so obviously not posted.

Have you tried Search Trees on this site?

There are other members who have Edgar Cushing and Hazel Cushing (two with no date of birth) in their trees.

If you find a possible match you can contact the tree owner to see if you have a connection.

We are trying to trace the whereabout s of a REV Edgar Cushing, he was in Derby in the 1930s, he lived at 4 Grandby Court, Bakewell and then at Sir William Hotel in Grindleford, He was a Wesleyan preacher and may have preached at the local methodist churches, We also believed he had a family in that area, if anyone remembers him or knows anything about him, I would love to hear from you. Or if anyone has any ideas about how to trace him, although it is a long time ago
