I always enjoy this prog too. I think genealogy enthusiasts are as interested in other peoples trees as their own.

I recently followed up an 'Heir Hunter' document from Mum's collection, it was done in 1954 and I had some good help on here. However, I did find some wrong info on there, they obviously hadn't had all the certificates. And appeared to have ignored one of the parental lines. There had been an ad in the local paper, but the whole thing was wound up in 3 months.

Cheers Rob.

I have always enjoyed the programme even if it is a bit repetitive and obviously stage managed. It can give some very useful tips to budding genealogists and it stresses the importance of obtaining copies of BMD certificates to ensure accuracy when compiling a family tree.

Thanks for letting us know. I haven't seen any mention of this new series so I'm glad you mentioned it. I really enjoy the show.

The new series (series 6) starts on Monday (16th). 25 episodes (so I assume 5 weeks).
It's at it's old 9:15am slot and the original format, rather than the extended, prime-time version.

(Put on General Chat board too)
