Can anyone tell me what information might be inluded on a birth certificate registered with the british royal artillery whilst serving in canada? Will it give me much detail ie parents names? I have the GRO ref ready to order if it will be useful to have.
Thanks :)

It depends when it was. I have just got one for 1843 and it gives fathers name regiment and rank but only mothers christian name, no maiden name.

in any case If the birth you have the ref for is your family, then any info the cert has will be of interest
