I'm sure it was recorded in Ireland with the same precision as in England.

Was wondering, i have an Irish marriage certificate of my g grandad, he was married in Ireland and where it states his father it doesn't say he's deceased, now would it be definite or did they not record that in Ireland, just trying to figure out when he was alive up until, as so many records were destroyed.
