Once you have paid for the address, you could check on Zoopla to see if the house has been sold in the last 6/7 years. If is has, back to the drawing board.

The street might be listed on Friendsreunited. A current resident of the street may know your relative, or if moved, where to.

Do you mean on the free search? If so, I would buy some credits and view the details. You can then write or phone the number, even if they are not there you might well track them down. \the new residents might have a orwarding address for example, or neighbours might know where they are.

Thanks for the info, i know the area they live in, and i can see them on the 2004-5 ER on the 192.com page (the address is 'blanked' out) also they sent a card to my nana 2 years ago, but we just dont have an address for them to try and make contact with them!
Maybe the opted out of the ER?
Thanks again,
Alison.

Depending on the year, most are held at local libraries

But for the last 8 or so years, we have all had the option as to which Electoral Register we are on.

Most councils have 2

1: which you have to opt out of. This is the one they sell to others
2: whereby you have opted out so you name does not appear in the register which is sold.

For finding someone via ER's you need the address and you will also need to know which Electoral Ward that address is in.

Hope this little bit of info helps in some way. :-)
