Hi Mary,
I would definately contact him as you will always wonder what might have been if you don't. As Kay suggests I would write a short letter indicating your relationship to him and a few facts about yourself.
It would be a good idea to give him your phone number but also include a SAE in case he prefers to contact you by letter. If you have a photo of his father it may be a good idea to include this explaining how he is related to you.
I recently made contact with a second cousin and we have now met and shared family photographs, certs and have been able to between us fill in lots of blanks in our family tree.
Good luck,
Sorcha

Hello Kay

Mary,,,,,

You may regret it if you dont,,,,the only thing can be disapointment if he shows little interest,,,,,,,which is worse?

be none complicated and easy for him to grasp if you write just a few short lines. explaining your connection ,you may get suprised..... :-D

Hello,
As anyone got in touch with a relative they never knew I have found a cousin I have never met on GR and found his address on 1stlocate I'm not sure what's the best way to contact him or if I should I just thought he may know people on my tree and would maybe help His father was my uncle My cousin is now in his 80's and I'm not sure if I should get in touch with him as he probably never heard of me
