Adding a name to my tree

I am trying to add a father to one of the people in my tree. I,ve put in the details and saved but the person is not appearing in the tree. Am I missing something or is it a technical hitch?

Could be a technical hitch. I had one over the weekend when I couldn't add census details to several members of a family yet they showed as attached.

I closed my tree down and then reopened it and they were there.

If you are used to adding people to your tree and are doing nothing different it's likely technical. Can I suggest that you try adding to someone else and see if you have the same problem.

I'll go and see if there is a general problem adding to. I'll go and add a parent to one of mine and see what happens.

If all else fails, send a message to technical at GR.

I just added a ficticious or is that fictitious? Anyway I made up a father for someone on my tree and it worked fine.

Have you tried closing your tree yet?

Just to add that I am now having probs updating info in notes boxes on my tree. Just freezing. Maybe tomorrow it will be sorted.
