I was wondering if somebody would be able to look up the following person, on the Manchester Prison Registers?

Samuel Fletcher b.1826. Year of Event: 1864 - Salford, Lancashire.

Hi Alison. The charge was "Drunk and Riotous in Bury". He was sentenced to 7 days or to pay 5/- with 10/- costs. Looks like he chose to serve the time as he was admitted May 13th and released 19th. He appears to have no previous convictions.

He was a greengrocer, married with 1 child. Usual residence Heaton Street, Bury. He was born Pilsworth and was assessed as being "about 38". He was 5 foot and three quarters of an inch tall. Fresh complexion, brown hair and grey eyes.

He had a number of cuts and scrapes - must have been some night!!
