Hi, Is there anyone out there who could be a descendant of John Costello born in Liverpool about 1856? His parents where Michael Costello and Margaret Kenny/Kearney both his parents where born in Ireland but exactly where, I do not know. |

Do you want to say who he married, and the names of his children? |

The 1861 census has Michael's wife Mary as being born in Liverpool and not Ireland:- |

Thank you to all who took the time to answer my message. Unfortunately the John Costello's mentioned were not the person I was looking for. John had 4 sisters and I know where each of them ended up. One went to Rochdale, and the other 3 ended up in Bolton. The last census I have him on is in 1871 living with his widowed mother in Liverpool. His mother died 4 years later in a district of Bury, so the family split up and ended up in 3 different towns. So what I am trying to find out is where John settled and who he married. |

Thank you all for taking the time and trouble of looking up the Costello's for me. John costello's father was Michael and mother Margaret nee Kenney/Kearney. All of the children from this marriage were born in Liverpool. John, I think was the eldest, then there were 4 daughters, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Margaret and Jane. I sent off a couple of years back for John's birth certificate, which was the June quarter of 1856, but the parents names did not match. The 1856 one was the one most likely to be the correct one, going from the age of John on the census. I was just hoping I would get a hot match from one of his descendants but to date I haven't. |

As Pam asked, have you tried Search Trees yet? |

Yes, I have contacted any hot matches I have come across but none have matched the one I am looking for. The John Costello marrying a lady named Martha could be a possibility but I would need to find out if his father was named Michael. I keep checking on the Lan-opc site for a marriage, but to date have not found one. |
