Anyone know how to find where a person was born in India my Wife's father was born in India but we don't know where, we think it was what is now Pakistan (not sure).
His family originated in Portugal and moved to Goa then throughout India in the 1600s, although I have some experience in family research I have never had to search abroad.
I would be greatful for any help.
Paul

If you can get to London - the British Library has an Indian section where many BMD records for colonials is held.

This place often pops up in Who Do You Think You Are.
