Does anyone know if, when someone was naturalized, there would be a few lines in a newspaper giving details? If so would it be their local paper or a specific paper like The Times. I'm thinking of the 1950's era.

I don't no if it would be in a news paper but you could search the national archives site

They were listed in the London Gazette but I don't know when, or if, the practice ceased.

Worth a search :-)
