Go to:

http://www.theprobatedepartment.co.uk/find-the-nearest-probate-registry/leeds-district-probate-registry-office/

Download the application form and send with a cheque for £6.00 to the given address

IF a proven Will exists, a copy will be sent to you - if it does not, you will not be notified, nor will your £6.00 be refunded

You will have to apply separately for each of the people who died

And remember that only Wills which go to Probate are available

Wills and Probate on Ancestry only go up to 1941.

Is there a kind soul out there who has a spare moment to look up 2 wills on ancestry for me to see if they exist.

my g father and gg father
both (conveniently ) called
Walter Hembrough MCGEORGE
they died
14 jan 1961 in Ryhope, co Durham.
and
1 june 1955 Ryhope, co Durham.

there death certs did not give me much new info (sadly) so i'm hoping that if they had will they may be more interesting, fingers crossed.
