You have to state its an overseas marriage and the form adjusts for the GRO ref |

I am trying to order a marriage certificate online and am stuck on what the GRO index number that I need to enter is! I have found the entry in the Army Returns Marriages 1936-1940; it's for a William A Christmas who married a Constantine Kelsall in 1940 (Jhansi, India). It says the entry is on page 299 but I cannot see any other reference numbers. I tried to order the certificate without entering the GRO number and it wouldn't let me proceed unless I could enter the exact date of marriage and I don't know this! I am probably being very thick, but if anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! |
