How awful. But then the raids were awful . I lived in SE London and still remember the fear when the air raid warnings went.

Even tho I was evacuated to knet in 1939 we eventually got bombings too because of the Kent Airfields . I was sent home to London and then re evacuated to Birmingham but there was some few months in between that happening
