Yes, I spend hours on there. Luckily I've got a sub as it's not a cheap site.

I think they are the same newspapers that are on your local library websites. You only need a library card to access them and they are free.

those local library websites are not available to many, if not most of us.


Lancashire libraries have seemingly cut off access to non-residents of Lancashire, ie people who do not have the correct library card.

The British Newspaper archive has many more newspapers than the ones you can access on your library card and they are adding to it all the time.

If you have your own libabry card, or get one (for instance I have an Essex one) I can access the free ones using that.
