Hello,
Need advice here in reconstructing and updating my TREE/S if the experts would ponder for me please as noting a wee confusion arises with inputs?
I know the Male-Line dominates sequencing, however I've discovering a few second plus Marriages involved.
Do I add the Chilldren born to the Mother in each Union arising since, the Father/New-Partner is obvious in Lineage and common sense and knowing if he has his own previous Line, I would keep to him to denote Half-Siblings of tht Union.
Grateful! :-)

Although I haven't played with the new version for some while, it is possible to alter the parents of a child.

So if GR tries to give the parents as Jane Smith and Harry Brown, but you absolutley know that they are Jane Smith and an alternative named or even unknown spouse, you can alter that later.

The same would apply for a different mother.

It has been said that the true bloodline is through the mother, since she has a pretty good idea who *her* mother is ;-)

Your tree - your decision about who to include.

The one proviso being that if they are living, you must obtain the permission of each and every individual before adding him/her to your GR tree.

If a man has more than one wife, and has children with each of them - they are obviously connected through him

Thanks for this Folks, I guess the easiest is to use Mum for all their issue together unless Dad previous Children which would seem better to place agaist his name, looks better and makes sense.....a case of my Tree, my way? The permissions noted here! :-)
