You can have an unlisted phone #.
It's not usual to have a PO Box as an addy, but it's not rare. If you live in a really remote rural area, the PO won't deliver mail to your home - I wouldn't think that applied around Mechanicsburg, so my guess is her PO Box is by choice.
I think your best option is to try and contact her mail, and invite her to call collect - remind her there's a 5 hr difference, so that noon in PA is 5pm in the UK (I'm assuming that's where you are).

I have found, for a friend, a 79 year old relative who lives in Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania. I have found her address (PO Box) but there doesn't seem to be any recorded telephone number.

I find it hard to believe someone in the US doesn't have a telephone. Do you have a system whereby telephone numbers are kept hidden/private? Any suggestions on how I can make telephone contact?

Btw is it usual to have a PO box number as an address?
