Thank you all for your interest. I reckon the Wm Charles b Plymouth is the right person. Don`t you always get sidetracked when you find something like this book and want to know more about the owner. Would be nice to give the book to a descendant. I will see if I can follow Wm Charles and see what I find. Thank you again. Must now get down to my own work!!! |

While clearing a box of old books for the charity shop I found a book called The Queen her early life and reign printed by Frederick Warne & Co in l887. On the flyleaf is a label which says A jubilee memento of our Queen. Presented b y the Managers of the Plymouth Public School to W C Steer June 2lst l887. I think I shall have to try when I have time to find W C Steer and put more details with the book plus read the book myself. |
