Looking for passenger list for November 1959 for ship "Orion" which sailed from England to Austrailia

Passenger Ada Wigglesworth possibly travelling with Arthur Wigglesworth her husband

Her last address was 64 Church Street, Westhoughton.

No mention of Arthur but she was travelling with a John Wharton of the same address. He was an electrician born 13 Oct 1895.

Hi Ann - I've just edited the post to show further info.

I can't see an outgoing record for an Arthur Wigglesworth anywhere around that time.

I have found that couple who travelled living together in 1963.

Thank you the name Wharton appears to be a connection with my family

Dont know looks like he may have stayed in Westhoughton, Lancashire

She probably wasn't divorced from him when she went to Australia as her status on the passenger list say's married

May be Ada and John waited to get married until Arthur had died this is something I will now have to research

Might 1973 be significant if Ada was waiting to be free to marry?

Not sure I would have thought that Arthur would have died in either Westhoughton or Bolton area of lancashire

Sorry don't no anything about him I don't remember him as I wasn't born till 1956 and Ada my grandmother had already gone to Australia and only saw her about 4 times between 1959 and 1990.

Arthur s birth would have been registered in Bolton, Lancashire but lived in Westhoughton

The only Birth I can find at the moment is on Free BMD
