am looking for info on a john reagan born 1906 has a sister annie born 1902 he may have used the name tobin any thing on him would be great his gran was a mary barry am baffled as annie was my gran and cant recall a brother only a half brother john tobin

You have John McMahon in the title and then refer to John Reagan and John Tobin. Which one are we looking for?

Sallyann...This is probably the reason....Annie appears to have remarried 1915

John may have been known by both names or John Regan may have died and Annie and Andrew had another John after she remarried

am thinking it must be her husbands son as shewas 45 when she married andrew tobin if you got any info on andrew tobin this is great :-)

From what I can see Annie and Andrew married Sept 1915 but there does not appear to be any children born to them..(Free BMD)...
I dont see a death for a John (Regan) before her remarriage so it may be John Regan just used the Tobin surname...
What makes you think that he was a half brother to granny Annie Regan McMahon (b1902)

Sallyann...I dont have access to Census etc but I am sure somone can find Andrew Tobin for you 1911...that would help in determining if he already had a family..

Cant find anything re Andrew (Cardiff or anywhere else) prior to the above Census so have to assume its the same person..however it may be there were other Annie Regans around ...you would need too get the MC to confirm if indeed your Annie (Barry) Regan was the wife of Andrew Tobin,,,,where was Annie born I know her mother Mary Barry was a Corkwoman

the annie who married andrew was born cardiff 1902 her mum annie reagan dob 1870 not sure wear she was born and mary dob 1842 was born cork
my gran always said john tobin was her half brother but in 1911 census he is 5 and she didt marry tobin till 4 years later wich makes me think he was andrews child

also if he is the right andrew there is a age gap as annie would be 16years older ;-)

thanks everyone think i may have found andrew living in barry in 1911 census age 35 with his uncle and the john tobin my nan said was her half brother lived in barry :-)
