Ahh yes I get you, I have searched for the grandparents and her father without luck (there aren't many people researching my family) but I do have her mother's maiden name - Mary Adelaide Stott who died in 1997 aged 85.
Will chase that one up, thanks!

Ok, what about putting the grandmothers name up or another family member to see if you can get her that way, someone may have the grandmother or grandfather. If that makes sense.

Nope :-(
In all probability she would've married. No joy under her maiden name.

What about white pages (phone book) for WA.

Hi ZZzzz, yes I've looked on Ancestry without success, also here on GR, not in any trees.
There is just the one reference to her in a 1953 Trove article, in the death notice of her grandmother.
Too recent to be in the W.A. online BMD indexes, of course.

Have you tried looking for her on Ancestry with her maiden name, or put her name on here so someone could could look for you.

I should add that none of my living rellies in W.A. know anything about this lady :-(

I would be grateful if anyone could advise how to go about tracing someone in Western Australia who may be alive, if so would be in their 60's and unfortunately (for me) is a female so in all probability would not go by her maiden name.

It's a huge coincidence which is bugging me and I would love to find this person. My g-g-grandfather was transported in 1846, had two wives and sets of children and eventually returned to England where he died in 1891. One of his sons (my great granddad) stayed in England but the rest of the family returned to Australia where they and their descendants remained.
While researching the family via the family notices in Trove, I found to my amazement that g-g-granddad had another g-g-granddaughter in W.A. with exactly the same name as me. My Christian name isn't exactly common and my surname even less so and I think it's incredible that there should be two of us in the same family, on opposite sides of the world, with the same name.

I've looked through Trove right up to the present day and couldn't find a marriage or death notice for my 'twin' and I don't know where else to look.

Any ideas gratefully received.
Thanks
Beverley
