can anyone help me please ive got my great grand dad mayying a jane dixon in 1829 in london then jane marries a william warde in 1838 just need help on what happened to my grandad please also when he was born or even jane dixon

What was your grandfather's name? Was it Kerr??

You have three threads about this couple now you really need to stick to one to save people duplicating the same info.

Do you not think that the death in sept 1838 is him then?

jax dont think so jane dixon married william warde same year dosnt sound right



People did not leave it long to marry after the death of a spouse as Men needed someone to care for their children and a woman needed someone to provide for her and her children, otherwise they may have ended up in the workhouse

'janet my james kerr married jane kerr in 1829 and married a william warde in 1838 so think that dosnt ring true there was a james kerr died in 1834 just cant get to bottom of it'

Why do you think he died 1834 not 1838?
