There are some images of original marriage registrations on the Ancestry web site - London and I think also West Yorkshire. There are also images of baptisms. If you are looking before 1837, you will need to look at parish records.

You cannot find an actual certificate

you would need to buy the birth cert using the information from the record/index that you are interested in,

you can buy cert from

Hi Caitlin, welcome to the boards!

Assuming the birth is England/Wales, you need to find the relevant info then send for a cert from the GRO - they cost £9.25.
If birth is 1837-about 1955, try here for all the details you need to order:

Hi everyone, just joined up with the website and we have found some really good records on our family history. However, we really would like to find an actual birth certificate of one of our family members instead of just records. Am I able to do this on this website?
