Help !!

A friend knowing I am into Genealogy/Family History has asked me to find two men one livingn in Majorca and Mallorca. . They are in their 70s and she last saw them about 10 years ago so they could have departed this land.

I have tried 192 as they may still have an address in England, Facebook, Google etc. family trees etc.

One used to work for an estate agent and she has phoned them in Mallorca but it is now under a dfferent name and they don't know where he went.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

I can send the names privately if it helps.

Try the phone book: http://es.qdq.com/blancas/

Where it says 'QuiƩn' put the person's name
For 'Provincia' select 'Baleares.'

Then click 'Buscar'.

Try this. It's Spanish Telephone Directories.

Majorca & Mallorca are the same place. One is the Castillian spelling & the other the Catalan spelling.
Do you have any idea where on the island they are supposed to be living?

Thanks for all your replies I hadn't realised they were the same place one of the people was living on Silver Point and the other ran an estate agency called Ribas De Reina Mallorca 14.

I have tried the other two sites without luck, I have found someone advertisng an apartment at Silver Point (via Owners Drect) so have sent her a message will wait and see if she replies.

You really need to know the name of the town or village, because judging by the addresses, they are housing complexes, many of which will be unoccupied for most of the year.
Also, if either of these people have died, the death will have been registered with the Ayuntamento (Town Hall ) where the death took place. There are no centralised records in Spain.
