Update - Phil replied - said he'd spoken to the Infrastructure team

I have now resubmitted my comments to GR, and there's no bounce-back now, so I'm OK.

I haven't seen that, but I have seen a pig, a horse, a beefburger, Sydney opera House and some rolls.

Oh ! It's gone.

I've now got a Statue of Liberty infront of very tall multi coloured buildings.

Shame.

What puppy pic?

I haven't got one.

Well, I've told Genes that I'm finding the slight colour change a little bit better.
But I think the sliding shadow line on the community boards is useless.

I've also asked if dogs pedigrees can now be researched - see puppy pic on beta home page. (Otherwise - why is it there?)

As Phil is replying on my Makeover thread it may be worth adding your comments there instead

Sylvia - I read another post (I think by you, but maybe not - I didn't contribute to the thread) where the poster sent stuff to philmoir of GR, so I PM'ed him and sent him the bounced back email, with its header info and my email in the body of the bounce-back.

I just tried to send the following email to their beta response email addy, but the email was blocked.

Dear Genes,

Re: beta site

I use GR for the community boards most of the time. Maybe the new
look will work for younger people with better vision, but for me,
it's barely usable.
I can't read the thread titles on the summary board from a normal
distance, and when I click on a thread, I can't read either the
poster's name nor their post from a normal distance. It's all too
faint. OK, I can get 6" away from screen and make it out, but I can't
spend any appreciable time doing that, eh.

For me it's bad enough that I wouldn't renew my sub if the beta in
its present form became the main site.

Regards - etc

I hope you've given GR the benefit of your opinion

From the sound of it, they won't be using the stark background, so that will help :-)

start to use the beta site style then i won't be persuing the boards at all ( as I nowdo on a daily basis). it is very difficult to pick out the Thread name let alone read the posts.

So, in case I forget, can I now thank everyone for their hints & tips, the stories (long short and especially tall), the laughs and the outrage. And to all those who have shared their problems - I do hope things improve or resolve.

Thankyou
