Today is the first time i am viewing the New Version of The Tree Layout.
Still prefer the previous Layout.
I liked the idea of clicking onto a name and below is all your Information in an orderly fashion.
New Version on clicking onto a side panel, to me looks disorderly.

I preferred Photos having Frames, looked the part with the old world Frames we could choose from.

A Photo without a Frame is unfinished & especially with putting together an Ancestral Tree!

Theres one more thing i don't like & thats having to repeatedly click to move the Line of names along.....prefer the old Tree, in just sliding the Bar along.

Whats happened to the Contact Tree List that was on the right hand side?

Any comments :-(

Yep

There's been loads of threads on the new tree, and its problems, and peoples likes and dislikes ........... posted in the last several months.

Look on Suggestions Board, this Board, and on General Chat.

You have plenty of company .............. but it seems that GR will not re-instate the old tree

Do you mean the trees you have access to?

It on the same line at the top where your own names is eg

+++DetEcTive+++ , : 454 relations View other trees (then a down arrow)

You can't search for a relative in a tree you've been given access to from the 'Search box' on your own tree. it only gives the option of 'This tree' or 'Other Tree'.

If you choose 'other tree' the results will open on the main site window and will say if you have had previous contact.

its a bit time consuming but does mean that that you can go back to your tree page a select the tree owner's name from the 'View Other Trees' if you have had contact and access.

You don't have to repeatedly click to move the line of names along or use a scroll bar. You can just click once and drag the tree around the screen.

I quite like the new tree, although I must admit I don't use it much as I prefer to only keep direct ancestors on here and use FamilyTreeMaker for my main tree.
