I think that those records only became available in the last couple of years Anne.

From the information available, I wish some of my lot had been Catholic! It would have made searching for their final resting places much easier. For non Catholic burials you have to trawl the cemetery records at the Mitchell.

Am I really slow on the uptake?

I have used SP for many years and never actually noticed that it includes a link for Catholic Deaths and Burials 1742- 1955
I had no idea what info was held on that part of the site........

I was at the GRO in Edinburgh on Friday, and as an afterthought, I clicked into the link.
What I found there really surprised me.
As I was armed with all the relevant death dates, I discovered that most of my ancestors/antedescendants were buried in the same cemetery in Glasgow's East End.
Most were poor Irish immigrants who are buried in common ground, therefore there's no point looking for a marked grave.

However, those who were buried in a lair, the SP record shows the location, the owner of the lair ( or relationship to deceased) age of deceased. cause of death and cost of burial.
Edit
By cross checking death certs already held, confirms that I was looking at the correct burial record

All I need to do now is pop over there and see if there is a headstone for any of them.
