I ordered 3 Birth Certificates on-line from GRO on Monday 23.July, all 3 Certificates arrived yesterday 26.July so I was some what surprised to recieve another Birth Certificate in the post this morning.
The Certificate is for a Jane Foster born in 1856 County of Stafford,
District New castle Under Lyme, I have no idea who she is, and the surname is not one that I have done any searches on. I have e-mailed certificate-services and await a response.

That happened to me once. I contacted the GRO and they arranged for me to return it.

A phone call back from GRO and I have been told to destroy the Certificate.

Also...........check if anyone on GR has her in his/her tree................

I did try looking for Jane Foster born 1856 Newcastle Under Lyme and that came back with a result of 0...so I will have to widen the search.
I have put the details on Free BMD.
