Member Since: January 2005 Posts: 96 Send Message	For the past ten years or more I have been unable to get past my 3 x great grandfather ( paternal) Samuel Barraclough. I obtained his marriage certificate (1850) and where it normally states the grooms fathers name and occupation it states Lydia Barraclough ( his mother) and occupation single women. I have checked Parish records and found that Samuel was one of 3 children born to Lydia all born out of wedlock. Samuel was the only one who survived. Any idea How TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT LYDIA.

	Did they stay in the same area?if so you may find a baptism for Lydia,her death age may narrow her birth year....again it helps if all event took place in one area.
