I'd like to find the parents of my g.g. grandfather George James Tyrrell. From census info he was born about 1816.
I have found a baptism for a George James Tyrrell in Lakenham, Norwich, Norfolk for Dec 1916 with parents John & Ann. You would have thought that's him!
But I have a copy of his marriage certificate to Mary Ann Robins in 1840 and his father's name is George.
Did he lie at the time of his marriage? At the time of his marriage he was of full age.
I have found the 1841 census for a George Turrell, 20 with a wife Mary, 20 plus daughter Mary. The address is in Lakenham. Is this them?

Can anyone out there help me with this?

Thanks

Chrissy Davies

The format and System Origin for the 2nd MC entry is from https://familysearch.org/

Its a free site with many transcribed and/or submitted entries of Parish Records.

The 1st one is from http://www.freereg.org.uk/ which gives a few more details - both are free to use and are transcribed PR

As I already have a copy of George and Mary's marriage certificate I know the information that is on there but would really like to find relatives of theirs. Any Tyrrell family members out there.
And to find out if the George James Tyrrell that is baptised in 1816 is my ggg grandfather.
