You really need to get that marriage certificate in 1946 so that we may have details of his father, his fathers occupation and also his own occupation and age and confirmation of mothers details..

Have found 2nd marriage and a death for Winifred May aged 31years in Croydon.

Would appear to be that Lloyd Burpee Armstrong returned to Canada and married a Winnifred Carter at some point

It is highly likely that Lloyd Burpee Armstrong returned to Canada as any references on the internet state that he was born in Nova Scotia Canada.

i not really sure about the canada part as far as i know he was a born n bred surrey (ish) boy.
Sounds a bit strange how he also married another winifred too, xx
