Hi all.
I am helping a friend with his research and wondered if there is a web site we can look at to find such records after 1945.
Thanks.

These records would still be with the MOD and not online.

Have a look here to find out about ordering records:-

If your friend is the next of kin of the serviceman, and the serviceman is deceased, he can apply for the records, at a cost of £30.00, and a waiting period of several months.

Thank you both, we shall be doing some looking and he will be sending.

Several months will try his patients but the £30 will be money well spent.
Thanks again.

There is no charge if the record is applied for by the spouse of the serviceman/woman. In either case, a copy of the death certificate will be needed if the person died following active service and not during it.
