BE CAREFULLY WITH FMPAST TRANSCRIPTIONS ON US SITE!
LOOKING UP A MARRIAGE IN UK I FOUND IT AND OPENED TRANSCRIPTION
UNDER NUMBER OF SPOUCES THE HAD A SECOND ONE WIICH I KNEW WAS WRONG,
LOOKING AT FREEBMD THERE WERE TWO GROOMS. AND TWO BRIDES AND THEY HAD PUT BOTH ON ONE BRIDES NAME!
COULD LEAD TO A LOT OF CONFUSION

Sadly I and many of us (no doubt you too Dizzi in the past) have found that our cousins over the pond are not very good at checking details.

They spot a name that is the same as their ancestors' and hey thats the one, this genealogy lark is so simple!!!

We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!

I must admit that it is presented badly.All to easy to assume that the first spouse is the correct one.

In defence of findmypast.com they are giving exactly the same information that freebmd gives. There were 4 names on page 142, South Stoneham, 2nd quarter 1904. Freebmd also clearly shows that there was no indication which of the 2 men married which of the 2 women.
