What is the best way to order Birth Marrage or Death certificates

For England and Wales from the GRO You need to register and can order them using the GRO reference found on bmd records

order online

Only ever buy from the GRO or local registry offices where the event took place

The cost if ordered online from the GRO is £9.25 inclusive of postage

If you order from the register offices - the cost is £9.00, but you have to order by post, and include an SAE for return of the cert.

So the GRO option is the best
