Also many women were on the electoral roll since the late 19th century as they had the right to vote in local elections if they satisfied certain property requirements.

Shirley, just to note - women over 30 got vote 1919, and in 1929 everyone over 21 got the vote in the UK! In other words both men and women 21 and over would be on the electoral register 1934/5.

Had to double check cos knew there was still some restrictions then Seems it was ladies over the age of 30 at that time too

It wont be online .you would have to inquire at the local main Library for the area who will hold the electoral rolls. It will only be the males listed who are over 21

Trying to find who was living at 12a Mill Road, Totton, Southampton during 1934/35. Anyone got any ideas how I can do this please?
