I was invited - As a valued member of Genes Reunited, we wanted you to be the first to experience two exciting new features we will shortly be releasing. We have been spending a lot of time over the last few months coming up with a new way for you to store precious memories on the site and we would love to hear what you think -

I am afraid I was very churlish and declined on the basis that I hated everything they had done to the site over the past few months...and that I guessed they would only report on positive feedback anyway :-(

I wanted to say you will be losing lots of members but I've wimped and renewed :-)

They ARE losing lots of members, and i'm sure they know that. I just wonder why they are not admitting it and what they are doing about it.

I believe the parent company (BrightSolid) is probably up for sale and it's difficult to say too much at the moment for fear of frightening off potential buyers.

Also had the invite and had a look but I have told them I would not want to store additional data on GR. I no longer enjoy using GR and in recent months I have found reliability a problem plus cases of data corruption and whilst I am sure people have put a lot of work on the new tree it is not a patch on the old tree. I am currently trying to evaluate other software for storing tree data. GR used to be a pleasure to use but not anymore.

Curious that an "Unknown" with only 10 posts would be invited to take part!

He has been a member since 2007!

Its good that people who don't normally venture onto the boards have the opportunity to give feed back.
