We opted out of the 'sold' electoral roll since this facility was first introduced. I am surprised at the amount of people who still do not do this.

Do they want their names and addresses sold on so they can be bombarded with cr*p offers etc.

. I would have opted out had I of known and even my parents who are anti anyone being given their address did not realise if they did not tick the tiny little box their address is there for anyone to find.

So maybe if I had not started using this site a couple of years ago I would be none the wiser.

One of the reasons I dont like address's being given out on here is because that person may not want contact which some distant rellie or old school friend... and just did'nt realise something like filling in your voting card could lead to unwanted people turning up on their doorstep
