Printing the "List view"

Please accept my apologies if this has been raised and discussed before - I have tried reading the FAQ and several threads under suggestions, but haven't found what I am looking for.

One of the new features is the List view under my family tree and my question is, is it possible to print this list?

Can anyone help with the answer, many thanks in anticipation.

I only managed it by going to 'Print screen' and doing it that way as the print preview is still only showing page 1. GR were told about it but so far haven't sorted it out. Hope that's of some help.

Thanks Maggie, most appreciated.

Maggie is right, it will only print the first page (or at least it did last time it was tried)

An alternative to Maggie's suggestion is to copy and paste the whole list one screen at a time, into a word doc (or your version) and print that off.

With copy & paste, can you tell me what I need to do to activate it. When I go to 'Edit' and the dropdown menue, cut copy & paste are not active - hence I did a print screen which is very small so this other way might be better.

Copy and Paste (C&P) is a facility built into what ever text/office programme you have and can be used on all sorts of occassions.

Open up a word document.
Go back to the 'List'
With your mouse, hightlight the text you want copied which normally turns blue.
Hover your mouse over the blue area, right click and select 'Copy'
Go to your word doc
Right click and select paste.

I think there is a short cut 'button' way of doing it, but someone else will have to advise.

Thank you for the info re copy & paste. We did this but 'copy' wasn't on the list. The closest was 'paste' but again it wasn't active - we have Windows 7. Seems I'll have to live with the screen print version but thanks for trying to help.

You can copy by highlighting and using Ctrl and the letter 'c'
Paste is Ctrl and the letter 'v'.

If that doesn't work there are a couple of other combinations shown here.

It seems strange that the copy isn't on your list of options - an IT buff needs to sort that one out!

Thank you for that. I managed to do C&P with other things on the net so felt it wasn't our computer. I then emailed GR and it seems the problem was that I wasn't going through Google Chrome. We then installed Google Chrome. GR told me that they had worked out a way of printing the List:

'We've worked out a way to print the list view if you use Google Chrome though. In Chrome, if you click on CTRL and P it will show a print preview of the page you are looking at and you can print from here.'

I tried it and it works! This is the second thing that they've said that you need Google Chrome for - not sure if there's anything else.

I have just tried the tip to use CTRL and P and it does just what I wanted, so many thanks once again.

Best wishes,

Terry
