I have come across a relative who died in 1957 subject of manslaughter.
How can I find more information of circumstances.

Newspapers are the best source of information for this - inquest records and court proceedings are less likely to be accessible or even retained.

Have you got the death certificate? That will certainly give you more information about the actual cause of death.

Thanks Ivy I will try local newspaper back issues at library I guess, I do have copy of death certificate Andysmum which gives cause of death as fractured skull but I would like to know under what circumstances and where incident happened,

As you know the date and area of death try the local newspapers, these type of stories were their bread & butter.

Start from the date of his death and if you are lucky the inquest may also have been covered.

Researching:
We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!

My brother, photo taken in September 1991 just a couple of weeks before he died. ............................................................ To help us and to get better results, please post as much detail as you can, especially name, date(s) and place. Also say what you already know.
