An entry for Johanna Selby states she was born in Marylebone, London. Nationality "British Subject By Parents" what does this mean?

You can do a google search for precise definitions of this.
But the parents may just have filled in the census as they thought best, as so it can have no significant meaning.
However. 'Johanna' is not a particularly british spelling.

Added:
If you look at the image you will see that the column only needs to be filled in if born abroad. So it was probably incorrectly filled in as it did not require an entry.

I notice her son Charles James has completed the census return for her and seems to have got a bit confuddled, however it was very helpful of him to list the whole family and then cross out the ones who weren't living there.
