The only AB BMD stuff online I know of is cemeetery records at:
http://www.findagrave.com/
and
http://webproxy.edmonton.ca/external/cemeteries/
We currently have over 60,000 electronic records of people who were interred more than 25 years ago in Edmonton Municipal Cemeteries.

For BMD certificate availability, check out:
http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/genealogy/022-906.006-e.html#a
http://www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca/1175.cfm
http://www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca/pdf/vs/Eligibility_Form.pdf

The 1901 census listed d.o.b.
http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/census/Pages/census.aspx
1911 only had birth month + year, 1906/16/21 had just age.
1921 is free on Ancestry right now but it's not indexed:
http://search.ancestry.ca/search/db.aspx?dbid=8991
1921 Urban addy's are hard to find, especially in Calgary/Edmonton.
Rural addy's, like S27 T3 R28 W4M say, are fairly easy to find.
