Presumably you could 'marry' yourself to save having to use another person in the tree?

Someone asked about this the other day.
Someone else came up with a clever idea
The poster who provided an alternative option was female, and her OH was adopted.
She also wanted to reflect the biological and adoptive lines of ancestry for her OH.

She gave herself 2 husbands,.
A marriage to his birth name and added his biological ancestry, the other his adoptive name with this ancestry.

I don't think its possible for them to stand alone.

It might be possible to enter yourself twice, once as the son of your birth mother and a birth father (call him Unknown if this is the case) giving yourself your birth surname.

Then add yourself as the child of your adoptive parents, carrying their surname.

Yes - you'll have 'marry off' one of each couple to the other, but you can overcome this in the notes.

Hi there,

I want to add me adoptive parents to my family tree but I don't want a marriage relationship between my adoptive father and my birth mother, but it keeps linking them. Anyone know a way around this?

Thank you
