Edward Austin born abt 1726 in Kent, married Sarah Kingsland, Edward Austin parents were: Edward Austin and Elizabeth Whittingham, she was born abt 1688 in Kent. Trying to confirm whether the above is correct, and find out more about the Whittingham family. I think Elizabeth parents may have been: Saack Whittingham and Ann. Ann's maiden surname ? Saack is a strange first name! While on this family line who were Sarah Kingsland parents, she must have been born abt 1725. Her father's first name may have been Ralph ? Need help to confirm the above, and anything else you can find, thanks.

If you look on the familysearch website, you will find the following:

Eliz Whittingham
England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975
christening: 9 September 1688 FOLKESTONE,KENT,ENGLAND
father: Isaack Whittingham
mother: An

This at least explains the Saack name and there is quite a bit more information there for you to explore - if you haven't already done so! :-D

Yes, I thought it might be Issac or Issack. Thanks Cynthia, it's a Jewish name, but also used by others way back in the past...
