I know what you mean about having less time when retired ,I am the same, but I have made enough "me " time especially trying to find ancestors that just don't want to be found.

It must be a good couple of years since I was at the Mitchell, my problem being when I visit Glasgow it's mostly travelling around visiting relatives so am only able to go there for a couple of hours, but I must admit I do love going back home and just walking around the streets.

Great stuff Jean! I had forgotten about the 1913 ones until I say GlasgowLass's post. Always good to gather as much information as possible from the free sources to reduce the number of results on SP.

I had intended to catalogue all the free web source addresses that I had found over the years - another thing on the "to do" list when I retired but just seem to have less time now than before. Can you believe that I haven't been to the Mitchell for over 2 years? Where does the time go?

Just spent credits looking at the 1920 valuation rolls for a couple of ancestors with no luck and completely forgot about the glasgowstory link and guess what, found them both with an address search , different spellings of surname .

Scotlandspeople.gov.uk have just released the 1920 valuation roll for Scotland.
