I would confirm Adeline's post re. events elsewhere.

I was not too surprised to find events regarding family in Herefordshire, but yesterday found reports of shipping events near Dover and Calais, by searching the site.

Thank you Paul.....Well worth a look.
When I'm feeling brave I'll look for my DAVIES, JONES and JENKINS families.!

I was delighted to find a report of my grandparents' wedding in 1917, describing what the bride wore and a list of guests, invaluable as there is no surviving photo of the event.

The site is worth checking too for happenings anywhere in the UK, not just in Wales. You could be lucky.

Amazing detail reported in some papers.
I've been reading just who was running which stall in a village jumble sale in 1916, who was providing refreshments and who was manning the gramophone.
Just like opening the main door and peeping in.............

Sadly no anonymity in the courts in the early 1900s.
A close relative was named as the victim of an indecent assault.
She was 7.
