I would use like to share my appreciation to all the regulars who do look ups and research for Genes members.It can sometimes be a thankless task with mis-information and half remembered memories.Three cheers to all of you.

It can be a thankless task at time but I enjoy the bingo moments of finding obscure ones just as much as finding my own brick walls

I think we all do it because we love the hunting down of information .................... and those "ah ah" moments :-)

Researching:
My brother, photo taken in September 1991 just a couple of weeks before he died. ............................................................ To help us and to get better results, please post as much detail as you can, especially name, date(s) and place. Also say what you already know.

There's not so many people wanting help these days :-(

Researching:
Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

As everyone has already said, we all love doing lookups and enjoy bouncing ideas of each other.

Most people are very appreciative and it's a fabulous feeling when you've really managed to help someone.
Of course, there are some who expect help and don't have the good manners to thank us, but thankfully, they are few and far between. <3
