You only get free credits for the first year

I changed from my normal six month sub to full price standard annual sub and I got 50 credits, but didn't get it this year when I got a 20% discount

Am I right in thinking that standard membership does not give access to all records. Hence the 50 free credits, which when used could encourage said member to up to platinum?
