Lets try and find this marr using the free search on Ancestry
Marriages Sep 1962 (>99%)
LENNON John W Powell Liverpool S. 10d 1209
POWELL Cynthia LENNON Liverpool S. 10d 1209

Go to http://search.ancestry.co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=8753

There's 11 John W Lennon's wed post-1915, but only 3 in Lancs and 2 of these are in Slford, so going with the remaining (Liverpool) hit, I click on the shopping basket.
Ancestry shows me what they'll order for me - a 1962q3 copy cert for John W Lennon RD=Liverpool vol=10d page=1209
I close this window (assuming I don't want to pay Ancestry an extra 13 quid for placing the order for me).
I next search with a blank name in Sept 1962 for a spousal surname of Lennon, with vol=10d page=1209 and get:

View Record Name Spouse Surname Date of Registration Registration district County (inferred) View Image Order Record
View Record Cynthia Powell Lennon info year city Lancashire
It won't show more details here as I don't have a sub (but I can click on the shopping basket again).
