Where do members download their GR gedcoms to ?

(I can see KenSE eyes going heavenwards

I have downloaded my tree from GR and it has gone to Family Historian which is listed as the default programme-I have a very early version which I have not used in over 7years.
There does not seem to be a gedcom funtion on it which would allow me to transfer it to FTM

None of the "options" listed work as windows will not let me open them

I have contacted GR (3 times) and they suggest I download it to a free programme but they list FTM as being compatable :-S

My gedcom from GR went straight into my "download" folder?

I dont have FTM but you should be able to upload the gedcom from there.
On my programme, I select upload gedcom.
An option usually appears to select file... yours will be found in in Family Historian

Yes,mine is in the dowload folder but when I click on it it shows in Family Historian but when I try to export it from there via a gedcom it tells me I " do not need to export a gedcom as FH is in gedcom form" ?

Feeling very silly :-(
